New Head of The Solidarity Fund is Fellow Tandi Nzimande

The Solidarity Fund has appointed Fellow Tandi Nzimande as Fund CEO.

Nzimande was recommended as the CEO at a Board meeting held on October 22, 2020. It is her work in the development and empowerment fields which makes her the ideal candidate to lead the Fund especially now, as it enters a new phase that requires strong leadership to ensure mandates are met with efficiency, integrity, and passion.

Nzimande is a chartered accountant who launched her career as a corporate financial adviser at Deutsche Bank. After that, she acquired and ran a small business in the postal and courier sector for four years. During this time she also did work for WDB Investment Holdings (WDBIH), a women’s empowerment company, where she contributed for 14 years.  Most recently, she worked with Chapter One Innovation Brokerage, a business model research and development firm.

In 2013, Nzimandi joined the Hollard Foundation Trust as a trustee and started working more closely with its Early Childhood Development programme, KYB Change Management and KYB Incubator, as well as its Youth Employment Accelerator Programme, Harambee. She is also a board member of FirstRand and a trustee of the FirstRand Empowerment Foundation.
